AppGates training courses are designed with the administrators of the AppGate Systems in mind. Public classes of the Basic Administration and the Advanced Administration of the AppGate Security Server are available at different locations a number of times each year. AppGate Basic Administration
One day course
The AppGate Administration training is a one day course that teaches the basics of AppGate administration. With a mix of theory and hands-on laborations we look at common administrative tasks such as backup and defining access rules and services.
Advanced AppGate Administration
Two day course
Advanced AppGate Administration is a two day course that covers advanced configuration topics. With a mix of theory and hands-on laborations we learn how to take full advantage of an AppGate system.
Designing with AppGate
One day course
Designing with AppGate is a one day course that teaches how to best take advantage of AppGate in different enviroments. The course has a technical focus on AppGate features and network design.
The training is aimed at technical managers responsible for the security and network design, to be familiar with the possibilities of AppGate Security Server.
During the course you will learn about most features of the AppGate Security Server. Different ways to integrate it in existing environments will be discussed, including where to install it in the network and using external user databases and authentication servers. After this course you will understand what problems an AppGate Security Server can solve. The technical details of how to configure an AppGate is not covered in this course, this is done in the AppGate administration and Advanced AppGate Administration courses.
