# Configure client profile groups

Client profile groups are a list of client profiles from this and other Collectives. They are treated like client profiles within the system. Review the [Before you start](/v1/docs/client-profiles-v6-7) and the [Cross-Collective HA](/v1/docs/high-availability-ha-v6-7) sections for more information before configuring.

> Client profile groups can only be used within [device policies](/v1/docs/configure-policies-v6-7) and not distributed out-of-band.

To add or edit a client profile group, click **+Add**, select *Client Profile Group*, and complete the following fields:

> Remember to copy the profile links you need before completing this form.

- ***Name***. Enter a name of the profile group as it will appear in the client. Use a name that is meaningful to users. Users may have more than one profile so it is important to be clear about which profile or Collective this is.
- ***Notes***. Optional. Enter any notes for the profile group.
- ***Tags***. Click **+Add** to add tags to the profile group.
- ***Profile Links.*** Click **+Add** to add profile links with a *Weighting Factor*. The weighting factor sets the order in which the Collectives will be tried.
