# Configure user claim scripts

Review the [Before you start](/v1/docs/user-claim-scripts-v6-7#before-you-start) section before configuring user claim scripts.

In the **User Claim Scripts** page, select **+Add** to create a user claim script, then complete the following fields:

- ***Name.*** Enter a valid JavaScript name without any whitespaces, dashes, or special characters.
- ***Notes***. Optional. Enter any notes for the script.
- ***Tags***. Click **+Add** to add tags to the script.
- ***Expression.*** Edit the script in this field. The returned object will be used to set an additional user claim included in the un-encrypted portion of the claims token.
