You may need to re-confirm your identity by re-entering your password before accessing certain resources. This is due to protective Policies that may have been put in place in AppGate ZTNA by your security team. This section explains what happens when you’re prompted for your password.

When your password is required, the User Interaction window will open.

User Interaction

If you don’t want to re-enter your password at the current time, just close the window. It will re-open when you need it later.

Password

In the Provide Password window, enter your normal domain password you use to sign in to the AppGate ZTNA Client. The text message set by your administrator will indicate if some other password is required. Click Submit to continue.

SAML or OIDC

If you see the Provide Authentication window, you will have signed in to the AppGate ZTNA Client using a SAML/OIDC Identity Provider. Click on the Authenticate With Provider button to go to the SAML/OIDC sign in page.

Your application may now prompt you for credentials in your browser. Use the same credentials as you used the last time you authenticated to your SAML/OIDC Identity Provider. The browser may auto-complete your password for you in which case you might just see a success message, in which case you can close this window after the Client notes the status as “Connected”.

Certificate

You may see a window, similar to the SAML Provide Authentication window, in which the Client is trying to re-authenticate you via the certificate on your device. Click Connect to initiate this process. If successful you will automatically be granted access to the application.

If the Client is unable to verify your certificate, contact your administrator.
