Once the user is signed-in to the Client there are numerous tools available for seeing the Client connection status and for performing any problem diagnostics. It is also possible to see which Entitlements have been assigned to user from the Admin UI in a user's Session Details.

The section on Troubleshooting user/device access goes in to detail about how to resolve any networking problems users might be having when trying to connect to Controllers or Gateways.

The header provides access to any messages and the menu. Below this you can see your connection status. Below that are the app shortcuts.

App shortcuts

The main window shows any Entitlements that have been published as app shortcuts.

Any app shortcuts that gave been placed in groups will be displayed first.

By right clicking (or long press), information about the app shortcut is revealed. Here you can pin any frequently used shortcuts. Shortcut Details provides further information including the app shortcut link, any required user interactions and a link to the Site details.

Menu

The menu provides some useful tools. Advanced provides more information about the status of the Client.

Session Info

Session Info displays connection information as well as the status of Advanced Ringfence and Device Proxy.

Sites shows the status of the Site connections. If you are fully connected then there is a green circle.

Clicking (or long press) on the Site reveals information about that Site. Site Details provides further information including the Gateway the Client is using and the traffic mode.

Entitlements

Entitlements takes you to a searchable list of all the current Entitlements which details the Site, Actions, and Conditions for each one.

Download Logs

Download logs allows the log files to be downloaded from within the Client.

  • For desktop Clients - a zip file will be downloaded containing the past 30 days logs.

  • For mobile Clients - the current days log file will be downloaded.

The logs typically contain three types of information: system, driver, and application. The system logs are designed to help diagnose problems by providing information about the system and some of its settings as well as settings relating to the Client.

The administrator can also download the logs from an individual user from the session details page.
