Using the Client

Prev Next

The Client can be accessed by clicking on the AppGate ZTNA icon in the task-bar, dock, or menu-bar.

Home Screen

The App Shortcuts screen lets you easily launch an app. Tapping or clicking on the resource will open it in your browser or related application. When you try to use an app that requires you to undertake a User Interaction, then the user interaction screen will appear first.

If any of your app shortcuts show a red no entry icon, then that app is not available at the moment. This may be due to using the wrong type of device, or it is outside an allowed time window.

It is also possible to Pin your favorite app shortcuts. Pinned shortcuts will appear under the Pinned tab. To pin a shortcut, open the details view by right-clicking or performing a long press on the shortcut. There you will find the option to Pin (or Unpin) the shortcut. When you have pinned app shortcuts, a toggle will appear in which you can select to view All or only Pinned shortcuts.

Some of your shortcuts may be organized into groups. App shortcut groups can be collapsed or expanded in the Client. Groups appear in alphabetical order and are shown before any ungrouped shortcuts.

The Menu

The menu can be accessed by clicking the three three dots icon Three circular shapes stacked vertically on a dark background, selected to access a menu. in the Client’s task bar. Clicking this will open a dropdown menu where you can select from the following options:

  • Selecting the i in the blue circle for a profile group will also list the profiles that are part of that group, sorted by weight.

  • Advanced. These options are covered in the Advanced Features section.
