For information on using command line driven silent installation, refer to the Windows Client documentation.

Client Logs

The regular client logs are located in %APPDATA%\Appgate\Logs

For example: C:\users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Appgate\Logs

The headless clients logs are located in %ProgramData%\Appgate\service.log

The Windows SSO logs are located in %ProgramData%\Appgate\plap.log

Driver Logs

The driver logs are located in %ProgramData%\Appgate\driver.log

Client Settings

The config file for the Client can be found in: %appdata%\Appgate\Appgate_SDP_Service_Url_<some_random_text>\<version>\user.config.

For example: C:\Users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Appgate\Appgate_SDP_Service_Url_<some_random_text>\5.2.0.22596\user.config

Cleaning Client settings

To clean Client settings, delete the folder: %appdata%\Appgate\

Removing stored passwords and certificates

Passwords are stored in the Credential Manager due to security reasons.

Make sure you are using Credential Manager as the correct user in order to ensure the correct Generic Credentials are visible. Find entries that start with “Appgate” and expand them. Select Remove from vault.

Certificates are stored in Certificate Manager.

Run  certmgr.msc. Find “Appgate” on the left pane, expand it and click on “Certificates”. You may delete the certificate entries on the right pane.

Proxy Auto Config (PAC)

If “Proxy Auto Config (PAC)” is enabled in the policy, AppGate will override the Windows settings as long as the Client is running. Windows settings will be restored upon quitting the Client (this might take several minutes).
