The OS Version Checker adapter compares the operating system version reported by an end-user's device against all known versions of that operating system. Use it to define how current the OS must be for an end-user to receive a low, medium, or high risk level. This adapter supports Windows and macOS.
Mapping
In the risk mapping for the OS Version Checker, you can configure risk level ranges based on how many versions the end-user's OS is behind the latest available version.
NOTE
Avoid configuring the low risk level for zero to one OS versions behind. End-users are unlikely to update to the latest OS version immediately after release, and this configuration may unintentionally block access to resources.

The OS Version Checker also lets you designate specific OS versions as always high risk. For more information, see the Overrides tab.
