# Configure Appliance Customizations

Review the [Before you start](/v1/docs/appliance-customizations-v6-7#before-you-start) section configuring customizations.

To create or edit a customization, go to the **Appliance Customizations** page and click **+Add**. Then complate the following fields:

- ***Name***. Enter a name for the appliance customization.
- ***Notes***. Optional. Enter any notes for the customization.
- ***Tags***. Click **+Add** to add tags to the customization.
- ***Script File.*** Upload a zip file containing the script that will execute on the appliance. The .zip file must meet specific requirements set out in [Adding third party executables](/v1/docs/adding-third-party-executables-v6-7).
