If a user has multiple Client profiles with different IdPs, even though it's the same person signing in on the same device, the AppGate ZTNA system will treat each as a new user. Therefore, every time a user connects using a different IdP, another license will be consumed. ## Background information For information about how licensing works, see the [Licenses](/v1/docs/licenses-v6-6) section. ## Un-assigning a license User and Portal user licenses are automatically un-assigned 30 days after the user was last seen. You can use the *Last Seen* column to see which users are approaching the limit. The ***Search*** field has built-in filters that allow you to see the users with a specific license type. This is useful when you need to split out license usage based on the [Client Profiles](/v1/docs/client-profiles-v6-6) used. ![Search interface for licensed users with filters for profile name and keywords.](https://cdn.us.document360.io/e7482ce5-acfa-4c3b-b76c-b6c32472644a/Images/Documentation/licensed_users_filter.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T22%3A55%3A56Z&se=2026-10-26T23%3A55%3A56Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=RyL0%2BB8C%2F66rsz%2BBe5bPXgCc%2FPV8CSsvnwmzS6Mcz3w%3D) > [!NOTE] > **NOTE** > > You cannot manually un-assign a license. To prevent a user from signing in again before the 30-day limit: > > - Use [Registered Devices](/v1/docs/registered-devices-v6-6) to add the user to the denylist; or > - Delete the user from the IdP database.
