# Replication Source

To complete [Collective replication](/v1/docs/collective-replication-v6-7), you will connect to the replication source in the target Collective.

## Configuring a source for replication

While in the **target Collective**, go to **Replication Source** (System > Replication Source).

- ***Secret Key***. Enter the [key generated from the **source Collective**](/v1/docs/replication-targets-v6-7).

After saving, you will see tagged entities from the **source Collective** appear in the **target Collective**. This can take a few minutes.

### Replication Source Actions

The **Actions** button for replication source displays the following option:

- ***Replicate from source now***. Initiates replication from the source Collective.
- ***Disconnect***. Disconnect from the source Collective. Select Disconnect again in the confirmation window. Replicated items will not be removed when disconnected.

### Source Replication Status

The progress of the current status is displayed, then a countdown to the next replication.

Below the heading, the results of the last replication are shown. Selecting it opens the **Replication Status Details** window, displaying a list of entities and how many have completed replication.

Statuses include:

- ***Healthy****.* All entities were replicated successfully.
- ***Warning****.* Only some entities were replicated.
- ***Error****.* Replication has failed. Details about the errors are provided below under *Replication Warnings*.
