Ringfence rules can block inbound or outbound local traffic, except that which is required to establish the tunnel to the Gateways. ## Before you start Background information: - Learn about ringfencing in the [Device and Client controls](/v1/docs/device-and-client-controls-v6-6) section. - Learn more about access controls in the [Access for Users/Devices](/v1/docs/user-device-access-v6-6) section. - To assign new ringfence rules, refer to the [Policy Configuration](/v1/docs/configure-policies-v6-6) section. > [!NOTE] > **NOTE** > > Ringfence rules cannot be controlled by Conditions. Use the Ringfence Rules page to: - Add ALLOW or BLOCK rules that will be applied to Client machines. When you are ready to create ringfence rules, see the [Configure ringfence rules](/v1/docs/configure-ringfence-rules-v6-6) section. ## Bulk Actions The [Admin UI tools](/v1/docs/admin-ui-tools-v6-6) page provides more information about bulk actions that can be performed on multiple ringfence rules.
