Block_report Rule Behavior

Prev Next

This article provides a high-level explanation as to why block_report is an entry found in an event log. A block-report is a set of rules to block access. The block occurs when no endpoint traffic is recognized.

Configurations

  • OTP is configured in Conditions for accessing Server_X.

  • OTP has valid period of 23 hours by default. This can be modified to be a longer period of time.

    • Five (5) minutes before the 23rd hour mark, the Gateway will reevaluate to see if the OTP is still valid.

    • This will trigger an OTP and prolong the OTP for another 23 hours.

  • OTP should have a time-based reevaluation set to 15 minutes.

    • Every 15 minutes the Gateway will reevaluate to see if the OTP is still valid.

Resolving the problem:
Once the OTP is entered, the block_report will not appear in the event logs.
