Uninstallation

This section describes how to uninstall the client from Windows, macOS, and Linux.

To quit the AppGate ZTNA client before uninstalling, click the icon in the task bar, then click the three-dots icon (Three circular shapes stacked vertically on a dark background, selected to access a menu.) and select Quit.

Windows

To uninstall from Windows:

  1. From the Windows Control Panel, go to Uninstall or change a program and select Appgate SDP [version].

  2. Select the required options. If you plan to reinstall, leave the stored settings and certificates.

macOS

  1. Open Appgate SDP [version] Installer.dmg. The .dmg file includes programs for installing and uninstalling the client.

  2. Open Uninstall.app to start the macOS setup wizard and run the uninstaller.

  3. When prompted “Do you want to clear your settings on uninstallation?”, select Yes if you do not plan to reinstall. Select No if you plan to reinstall.

  4. When the wizard finishes, the client is uninstalled.

Linux

Ubuntu: Run the following command: sudo apt remove appgate.

Fedora/RHEL9/Rocky/AlmaLinux: Run the following command: sudo dnf remove appgate.
