This section describes how to connect the AppGate ZTNA client to your network environment.
After installation completes, read the privacy notice and click Approve to continue.
Profile configuration
To connect the AppGate ZTNA client to your network environment, you must configure a profile. Your administrator will send you a profile link, which looks similar to appgate://appgate.company.com/eyJzcGEi…. Use this link to configure the profile.
To use the profile link, do one of the following:
Click Scan QR Code (mobile) and use the camera to scan a QR code.
Click Use Profile Link and paste the profile link.
Click the profile link directly, and the client creates a new profile for you.
Signing in
Username and password
After you add the profile, some profiles require you to enter your credentials (unless your administrator advises otherwise). Enter your domain sign-in credentials in the Username and Password fields. If you select the Keep me signed in checkbox, the client saves your credentials and reuses them automatically each time it starts.
After you enter your credentials, click Connect.
Other authentication methods
Some profiles collect your credentials through a browser or use a certificate. In these cases, the sign-in fields do not appear. Instead, the Sign in with provider window provides a link where you can enter your credentials. Click Sign In to continue.
If you use a certificate or smart card, you may need to provide additional details such as a PIN. After you complete authentication, click Connect.

One-time password
Depending on your system configuration, you may need to enter a one-time password (OTP). This requirement may apply the first time your device connects or every time you connect.
If the OTP window appears, use one of the following options:
Open an authenticator app on your mobile device and enter the six-digit OTP displayed.
Use an alternative OTP solution such as a hardware token, generate or locate the next OTP, and enter it.

The OTP is valid for 90 seconds. If you enter it incorrectly or the code expires, enter the next code that appears.
After you enter the OTP, click Connect.
