Provide a Reason

You may need to provide a text explanation of why you are accessing a given application. This is due to policies put in place in AppGate ZTNA by your security team. This section outlines how to enter your explanation for accessing this resource.

When a reason is required the User Interaction window will open.

If you don’t want to do enter a reason at the current time, close the window. The window will reopen when you need it later.

User Interaction

When you see the Provide Reason window:

  1. Enter your reason for accessing this resource in the Reason field. The text is free-form, and there is no limit on the number of characters you can use. The text message set by your administrator in the notification window may provide a hint about the type of information you need to provide. For example, to update information about a customer inquiry, you may need to enter the customer reference or ticket number.

  2. When you have finished entering text, click Submit to continue.

  3. You should now be able to access the application you require.
