App Status

The main part of the Client screen displays your App Shortcuts.

Fully Connected. You will see the following screen when the Client has successfully connected, with all your App Shortcuts displayed with color:

Partially connected. When one or more Sites are not connected, some of your App Shortcuts will be unavailable. Unavailable apps appear white with dotted gray lines round them. The Client will try to reconnect to these Sites periodically. If the problem persists, contact your administrator for assistance.

No connections. If the Client cannot connect to any of your Sites, check the internet connection for your device. Otherwise, contact your administrator for assistance.

Shortcut details

Right clicking (or a long press) on an app will open a menu from which you can select Shortcut Details. This page displays a description of the app, as well as its type, URL, Site, and Entitlement. The Site detail may be helpful to your administrator because it tells you which Gateway you are connected to.

More Information

More information can be accessed by clicking the three dots icon Three circular shapes stacked vertically on a dark background, selected to access a menu. in the Client’s task-bar. Select Advanced > Session Info to open the Session Info screen.

This screen provides you with general information about the Client’s current connection status. There is additional information about the following:

  • Ringfence. If the Client has Ringfence activated on your device then untrusted incoming and outgoing connections maybe be blocked by your device’s firewall. Contact your AppGate ZTNA administrator if you have issues with other sites or apps not working after connecting with Appgate SDP.

  • Device proxy. If the Client has Device proxy activated on your device then some outgoing connections maybe redirected via a proxy server. Contact your AppGate ZTNA administrator if you have issues with other sites or apps not working after connecting with Appgate SDP.

Select Advanced > Sites to open the Sites screen. This screen provides you with information about the status of the Sites you are using.

Task Bar

When your device is connected to the network you will see the following Client icon in the task-bar:

  • If the Client icon in the task bar is gray, you will need to sign in to connect to your network resources. Click on the icon to open the sign-in window and fill in your credentials.

  • If the Client icon is revolving, or the popup window shows Not Connected, then there may be a system error. Contact your Appgate SDP administrator.
